Resolve IDs from Superlaunch before creating or changing an object. A name helps you find an object; it does not uniquely identify it. A Launcher creative ID and a Meta creative ID refer to different objects. Keep the names and IDs together while planning a launch.

Versions

Read an object before editing it. Tools that accept expected_version or expected_lock_version require the current value from a read. If another person edits it first, refresh the object and review the change before trying again. A saved creative or template version preserves the inputs used by an earlier launch. Saving a newer version does not rewrite those earlier inputs. Approval applies to an exact creative version.

Request IDs and keys

For operations that advertise idempotent retries, generate one request UUID or key for one intended operation. Retry the same operation with the same inputs and key. Use a new key when the inputs or intended operation change. Do not assume that every write tool is idempotent. Check its reference page. In particular, rule status changes and archival rely on a current version check; a supplied request_id does not make them replayable.

After a timeout

Read the submitted run, action result, or activity record before issuing a second write. A client timeout does not prove that the provider rejected the operation.
